Mission Viejo Lake is Orange Counties largest man made lake with 124 surface acres of water, an elevation of 700 feet above sea level, and the only lake in OC that offers sandy beaches and safe swimming.
The Lake Association owns and operates the Lake facilities which includes Lake Mission Viejo and 50 acres of land, including Playa del Norte (North Beach) and marina, Playa del Este (East Beach), parking facilities, Market on the Lake dock and the dam. Recreational facilities available for Lake Association members include the Lake, two large beaches and picnic areas, a boat launching facility and a shoreline fishing area.
There are two member beaches and a number of private beaches for use by lakeside residents.
Playa del Norte features a sandy beach area, volleyball courts, a playground and snack bar. Playa del Este has a playground, snack bar, group picnic area, fishing area, basketball half court and horseshoe pits. Playa del Este is open daily during the Summer (Spring and Fall on weekends only).
The lake also hosts the "Plaza Del Lago" center
(where our office is conveniently located) and includes lakeside dinning at Tortilla
Flats for mexican food, Peppino's for Italian food, and
YAMA Sushi & Grill for Japanese seafood, as well as a variety
of speciality shops.
